Arrival and Dismissal
The Preschool utilizes a live drop-off and pick-up process. If you choose not to participate in live drop-off or live-pick-up, you must park in an unassigned space in our lot and walk your child to the front entrance.
Please review the map to ensure you are aware of the locations for entering and exiting the parking lot and drop-off/pick-up area.

Drop-Off Procedure:
**Students will be removed from buses first.
**For live drop-off, cars must stay in line along the drop-off area. Drivers must stay in their vehicles and drive up as close to the front doors as possible without covering the crosswalk.
**We ask that you do not pass the line of waiting cars and pull in front of the first car in line.
**Staff members will remove each child from the car. Please note that the staff member removing your child may not be staff from your child’s classroom, but are staff within the program. All staff are required to wear identification badges. If you do not want staff from the program removing your child from the car, you will need to park in the lot and walk your child to the front door.
**Once your child is safely removed from the car and your car door is securely closed, please drive slowly out of the lot.
**In order for participation in the live drop-off, your child’s car seat must be located on the passenger side of the car so removal can be done from the sidewalk. If your car seat is not on this side of the car, you will need to park in the lot and walk your child to the front door. Please use the crosswalks and do not walk between cars.
**If you park your car in the parking lot and walk your child to the school building, the preschool staff will meet you outside on the sidewalk near the front door. Someone on our staff will take your child into the building to wait with his/her class. If you do not want to wait outside with you child, we do have the option of live drop-off for your convenience.
**If you have to bring your child to school after 8:15, please press the buzzer to get into the building and go into the Main Office. You will be asked to wait with your child in the office until a staff member can come down to bring your child upstairs.

**Remain in line and move forward toward the doors as the cars in front of you move forward.
**Be attentive and alert and don't use your cell phone while driving on school property. We have lots of adults and children walking through the lot and crossing the driveway.
Inclement Weather Arrival and Dismissal:
Occasionally inclement weather makes it necessary for the buses to drop their children off and pick their students up using the driveway in front of McKeown where the live drop-off / pick-up line begins. In this case bus boarding and exiting must take precedence and buses will be called to the front of the line. Thank you for your understanding!
Our priority is to insure for the safety of all of our children. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation with this.
